Roland Houslin was born in the UK in the late 1960s to parents of Jamaican heritage.  He served in the British army for eleven years.  His family were directly impacted by the ruling, which prevents the return to the UK of people with ‘Indefinite Leave to Remain’ status, where they have spent more than two years outside of the country.  In July 2022, he and Garrick Prayogg he founded Justice for Windrush Generations to raise awareness about the Windrush Compensation Scheme.
